Australian Mesmerised Raven

Marcel was acting very strange for four/five minutes,when i went to feed him he assumed a position i have never seen him do with his head cocked to one side,semi crouched with his wings slightly open and an odd look on his face,such as it is usually he only assumes the semi crouch position with beak skyward as if awaiting for manna from heaven most definitely never has a hypnotic type stare,unfortunately the clip is very short i didnt have the phone handy from the start & i missed approx 2 plus mins of him looking stunned.is this some type of "end of days " scenario playing out with marcel seeing something that we dont? Marcel was found on the ground in the last week of july after a very stormy night after ringing a few places i was instructed to take him to specific vet surgery where i was advised that he was a raven,healthy,unlikely to have fallen to ground & he was a fledgling & " should be returned to where he was found his parents will look after him ". unfortunately this was not the case and it was 4/5 days before the parents came near him,he also had a talon missing from a rear toe that became quite swollen & infected in the weeks that followed needing treatment,it was paw paw ointment that cleared it up after having no success with other conventional treatments.Marcel was found on the ground in the last week of july after a very stormy night,after ringing a few places i was instructed to take him to specific vet surgery where i was advised that he was a raven,healthy,unlikely to have fallen to ground & he was a fledgling & " should be returned to where he was found his parents will look after him ". unfortunately this was not the case and it was 4/5 days before the parents came near him,he also had a talon missing from a rear toe that became quite swollen & infected in the weeks that followed needing treatment,it was paw paw ointment that cleared it up after having no success with other conventional treatments.Although the only sure fire way to accurately identify the gender of a raven is by blood/dna test Marcel has been declared a male for a number of reasons with the primary one coming from my 15 yr old daughter who has declared that " that bird has to be a male.its just so annoying " fortunately she avoids Marcel otherwise he might think his name is/was " stupid bird " admittedly the poor kid was swooped by a maggie as a five year old & it appears that it has left her quite scarred.
