At least 6 people who died last year experienced health-care delays

Critical incident reports between January and September 2025 show that six people in Manitoba experienced delays in accessing care before they died. A Winnipeg woman whose sister died after waiting hours in an emergency room early in 2026 hopes the province follows through with the recommendations from those six incident reviews to prevent more deaths.
