Departure of President Santiago Peña Palacios of the Republic of Paraguay

Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 May 11, 2026 President Santiago Peña Palacios of the Republic of Paraguay departed from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 to officially conclude his Official Visit to the Philippines on May 11, 2026. During his visit, President Peña Palacios led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument, received arrival honors at Malacañan Palace, and held a bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The two leaders witnessed the signing and presentation of agreements and issued a joint press statement. President Peña Palacios also attended the official luncheon hosted by President Marcos Jr. in his honor. The visit marked the first-ever presidential visit from Paraguay to the Philippines since the two countries established diplomatic relations 63 years ago.
