Palestinian flotilla organiser describes 'violent' Israeli detention as more ships sail

The Global Sumud Flotilla launched a new wave of civilian aid ships from Turkey on Thursday to directly challenge Israel's naval blockade of Gaza. The departure follows the release of organisers Saif Abu Keshek and Thiago Avila, who were seized by Israeli forces in international waters near Crete, forcibly transferred to Israeli territory, and held illegally for ten days.
