If you correctly section off an area for it to flourish that has less water agitation, you get a high volume of nitrate removal, ammonium removal, it can also reduce certain heavy metals, it can cover a section of your water to reduce total sunlight, exposure and reduce green water algae, it’s also big enough to not be immediately consumed, but can still be a more long-term secondary source of food. It grows extremely quickly, and you can simply remove it with a net to allow for more to grow, and you can feed it to your chickens!!
