INGREDIENTS
Dough:
- 2 Cup All Purpose Flour/Maida
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- Water
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1/4 Cup Oil
Stuffing:
- 250 gm Chicken Keema
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric/Haldi
- 1 Tsp Chilli Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 Tsp Chaat Masala
- 2-3 Pinch Black Pepper
- 2-3 Tbsp Roasted Chana Dal Powder/Sattu Powder
- Salt
- 1 Tbsp Water
METHOD
- Take all purpose flour in a bowl and add salt. Add water and make a medium soft dough. Cover and rest for 20-25 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauce onion. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell is gone.
- Now add chicken keema and all the spices. Mix well. Cover and cook till the chicken is done. Add roasted chana dal powder and a little water at the end. Mix well and cook for another minute. The stuffing is ready.
- Knead the dough for 15-20 seconds and divide into 8 equal sized portions.
- Mix soft butter and oil till well combined.
- Take one portion, apply flour and roll into a thick sheet. Roll all the dough ball into similar sheets.
- Apply some butter oil mixture to a plate and place one dough sheet. Appy butter and oil mixture generously and spread it. Keep the next dough sheet and repeat the steps.
- Cover the sheets and let them rest for 25-30 minutes.
- Take one sheet and place on a large clean counter. Stretch into a thin sheet as shown in the video. Fold into a rectangle and make cut on one side. Place stuffing and fold. For better understanding, please check the video.
- Place all the puffs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle some black or white sesame on top.
- Preheat OTG at 200°C for 10 minutes and the bake the puffs for 35-40 minutes (Keep the tray in the middle rack).
- After the puffs are done, take out the tray.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
