Lord Jesus, on this Lenten Friday, I stand before Your cross with a humble heart. Teach me to die to selfishness, to pride, and to every sin that separates me from Your love. As You gave Yourself completely, help me to surrender completely. May my sacrifices be joined to Yours, and my sufferings united with Your redeeming grace. Create in me a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Let this day draw me closer to Your mercy, so that I may live not for myself, but for Christ who lives in me.
