Opening Event: Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Aerotech Park

Brisbane Airport Corporation celebrated the opening of Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s technical services facility in Aerotech Park. Our colleagues, delivery partners and new tenant enjoyed a coffee and morning tea catered by Boronia Brew, Welcome to Country by Songwoman Maroochy from the Turrbal Tribe, as well as addresses from Martin Ryan (Brisbane Airport Corporation Executive General Manager – Commercial) and Kim Buoy (Wallenius Wilhelmsen Senior Vice President, Logistic Services, Oceania Region). The formalities were followed by the ribbon cutting, team photos and a tour of the facility. This occasion marked the global shipping and logistics company’s successful relocation from Brendale and commencement of operations from their new custom-built airport premises. The 6,000sqm warehouse and 42,000sqm hardstand is now packed with cars, trucks and machinery to support their roll-on, roll-off shipping and vehicle logistics operations.
