This short video shows the making of a luxury handmade gold tea strainer used by wealthy Chinese collectors. The process begins by melting gold and turning it into extremely fine wires. These wires are then carefully woven in a tight crisscross pattern to create a delicate mesh. Another portion of gold is melted to form the circular outer frame, before the mesh is fixed inside and gently hammered into its curved shape. Finally, a bamboo branch is heat-treated and bent to become the handle. Because of the gold value and the detailed handmade craftsmanship, a single piece may start from around $3,000 to $7,000 USD.
