[April 3rd] Jesus mourned over Jerusalem, knowing the peace they missed because of a hardened heart and pride. In our own lives, what blinds us to the things of peace? Often, it's not an outward evil but a hidden disposition or "strange god" we refuse to yield. When God confronts us with these, yet we resist, the consequence is spiritual blindness. Though God opens new doors, He reminds us of those we closed unnecessarily.
