World Cup brings Seattle commuters temporary relief

The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 on the Ship Canal Bridge fully reopened this weekend, ahead of schedule. "I'm actually excited to get back on the freeway to get to downtown," frequent I-5 commuter Clarissa Moreno said. While commuters are taking a sigh of relief, the construction pause will not last forever. The fully reopened lanes are part of a planned break to help ease traffic as hundreds of thousands of people travel to Seattle for the FIFA World Cup.
