Do caos da vida moderna à futilidade das redes sociais, a mente humana está cercada por fontes de cansaço e vazio existencial. Em meados de 1950, o biólogo Nikoolas Tinbergen previu esse efeito e propôs a Teoria do Superestímulo. Baseado na Teoria da Evolução, esse estudo mostrou que nosso comportamento é afetado por instintos pré-históricos. Ou seja, estímulos artificiais, como açúcar e redes sociais, afetam nossa saúde mental. Assim como uma mariposa persegue a luz, diante de uma tela luminosa, a humanidade se perde.
