Between two checkpoints: living and working in the #WestBank

Shireen Nazzal is a psychologist, Shorouq Al-Madmooj is a social worker. Part of the Doctors Without Borders team, they live and work in Nablus, in northern #WestBank. They grew up with curfews and the presence of Israeli soldiers in the streets. For the past 20 years, they have been trying to alleviate the psychological suffering of Palestinians, who are constantly confronted with the violence of the Israeli occupation. But since Oct. 7, 2023, daily life in the West Bank has become even harder. The Israeli authorities are engaged in ethnic cleansing, fragmenting even more Palestinian territory and destroying any hope for the future of its people.
