These Seals Have Never Been Seen Underwater Before

Seals are wonderfully compelling and charismatic animals, being remarkably intelligent and humorous, also coming in many shapes and sizes that makes them the iconic marine mammals that they are. In spite of all of this though, there is still much we have to learn when it comes to them, in particular when it comes to some of the more poorly known species. One of these species is the ross seal, which are the seal equivalent of beaked whales, in they’re rather poorly known due to limited sightings, which is down to their deep water living, small populations and not being found along common shipping lanes, being thought to make up only 1% of all seals living in and around Antarctica's pack ice.
