Why Timing Matters With Bee

This is the sweet spot for removing a bee nest. 🐝 During the first 3 to 4 weeks after a swarm moves in, the colony’s population actually declines through natural attrition. But once the first new brood emerges, the population can explode quickly. 🐝 At around the 4-week mark, the honeycomb also becomes much stronger and easier to handle. Fresh virgin comb is unbelievably soft and fragile, making removals slow and messy. 🐝 Wait a little longer, and the job gets much bigger.
