Description

Jantar Unity, the first of three new ferries built in Poland, embarked on its first sea trial on September 15, 2025. The images show the new ferry leaving the Stocznia Remontowa shipyard in Gdansk. Also visible is the new livery for PolSca Baltic Ferries, a joint venture between Polferries and Unity Line. This historic shipbuilding project in Poland includes the construction of three (possibly four) new RoPax ferries to be deployed from the port of Świnoujście. Jantar Unity is scheduled to enter service in early 2026. Technical specifications: Length 195m, width 32m, 400 passengers, crew 50, propulsion: four dual-fuel LNG engines with battery backup.
