Hi guys, my name is Dan and I'm the voice you've been listening to on this channel for the last seven years... SEVEN YEARS... wow... That's a long time, and a LOT of philosophy videos! So first and above everything THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, to each and every one of you whether you've been with us from the start or are just discovering us for the first time now, I'm personally grateful to all of you, you are quite literally the fuel that fires us. Over the years, we’ve been doing our very best to bring you ideas from different strands of philosophy to help you handle everyday situation and grow as a person, and now it's time for US to grow, too. We live in a world right now where a growing tsunami of AI-generated content is making it harder and harder to separate real, useful advice from people who know what they're saying from the digital hallucinations of a random data centre, and we at PfL want to be part of the solution. It's time for us to start taking things further than just examining philosophy quotes in isolation, by talking more openly and broadly about real-life issues, exploring the deeper layers of philosophy and psychology, backed by real experts you can trust. Now, although we're still working on the details, production for PfL 2.0 is already very much underway... but we want your help shaping the future of this channel. We want to know what you'd like to see from us. Not just which of The Great Philosophers you'd like us to talk about next, but what aspects of life you're struggling with, or situations you want to understand from a philosophical perspective, people you want to hear from that we can talk to on the show, experts/personal philopsophy, a format or type of show you'd like to see, we're open to all of it.
