Description

I bought a pile of pallets for $100, found a giant rock overhang in the forest, and built a complete hideout underneath it. I broke every pallet down by hand and rebuilt the wood into proper walls, fitted tight against the rock face that became the back of the shelter. The stone does what stone does — solid, weatherproof, and free. The rest I built from those same boards: a door, a window, walls that actually hold. Inside I made a sleeping platform and furniture from leftover pallet wood. Outside I built a deck area with a table and armchair, both cut and assembled from pallets — a place to sit under the overhang when the work was done. $100 of pallets, one giant rock, and a hideout that cost almost nothing to build.
