Premier Eby highlights investments for skilled trades training – May 13, 2026

British Columbia Premier David Eby holds a news conference in Delta to highlight previously-announced support for skilled trades training. The investments are expected to fund up to 5,000 new trades training spots. The Premier is joined by Jessie Sunner (provincial minister of post-secondary education and future skills), Shelley Gray (CEO, SkilledTradesBC), Jordan Falk (program manager, UA Piping Industry College of British Columbia), and representatives of Ideal Welders.
