This Recovery Might Be Impossible…

This one started out sounding simple… “There’s a Jeep rolled over in the canyon.” No problem, right? That’s what the 4x4 wrecker is for… or so we thought. 😅 David and I loaded up the wrecker and headed deep into the backcountry to see if we could recover a Jeep that had rolled hundreds of feet down into a canyon, miles away from the nearest road. We pushed the truck as far as the trail would allow, grabbed our gear, and started hiking. After miles of climbing, side-hilling, and questioning our life choices, we finally got our first look at the Jeep… and that’s when reality set in. Seeing it from a distance was enough to make us wonder if this was one recovery that simply couldn’t be done. Sometimes the hard part isn’t pulling something out… it’s figuring out if there’s even a way to get to it in the first place. Will we find a way, or is this finally the recovery that’s impossible?
