University of Technology Sydney’s Carl Rhodes says Elon Musk becoming the world’s first trillionaire represents an “extraordinary shift” in wealth and power towards private individuals. “It tells us inequality is getting worse,” Mr Rhodes told Sky News Australia. “It’s telling us that increasing amounts of power in the world are being accrued to individuals based on control of markets.”
