Whitney Houston - "How Will I Know" was released 40 Years Ago!

40 years ago today (November 22, 1985), "How Will I Know" was released as the third single from Whitney's self-titled debut album. The song was written by George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam (who also wrote "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)", along with Narada Michael Walden who produced it. It became her second #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video was played on MTV and other video outlets, and it ended up winning Best Female Video at the VMAs in 1986. Kyle Anderson of MTV wrote that it was "eye-opening to watch her cut loose in a fun environment" since her previous songs had been ballads.
