At the forefront of their survival is Dr Karen Coombes, the passionate founder of Tree Roo Rescue — a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned, injured, or displaced tree kangaroos and returning them to the wild. Along the way, Karen faces challenging rescues, heartbreaking losses, and the inevitable bumps and scratches from these stocky marsupials. Yet, for her, every sacrifice is worth it — to protect and preserve the species she loves.
