Description

Steve continues the mission to bring our 2S7 Pion back to life after 12 years. He bleeds the fuel system, cleans up the contact points on the dash and electronic panels, and incredibly gets the engine turning over — but then something alarming happens. Black oil starts burbling out of the engine breather and we're suddenly facing what could be our first ever showstopper. Can Steve figure it out, or is the world's largest self-propelled gun finally beaten? The 2S7 Pion carries a 203mm cannon on a chassis built from T-72 and T-80 components, weighs 46 tonnes, and was originally designed to fire nuclear shells. Ours is one of very few in private hands anywhere in the world — and we need it running for AusArmourFest ride duties. 🎟️ AusArmourfest Tickets HERE ⏩ https://bit.ly/aaf26 TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 – Back at it 03:15 – Fuel System Fun 05:02 – Soviet Electrical Craftsmanship 06:31 – Reinstalling the Panels 07:41 – Crank it 08:25 – We've struck oil! 09:17 – This might be it... 09:50 – The lightbulb 11:49 – Take oil out, put oil back in 12:18 – Take 2 13:58 – Foiled again! 14:33 – The real test drive 17:48 – One more problem... 21:34 – It's alive! 🎥 Videography and editing by Ella and Sarah from AusArmour The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum is home to the largest collection of armoured vehicles and artillery in the Southern Hemisphere, located in Cairns, North Queensland.
