Deaf 6-year-old deported from Bay Area without hearing aids

A deaf 6-year-old boy was deported from the San Francisco Bay Area to Colombia without his hearing aids, according to his family's attorney, who said the boy's mother was seeking asylum after leaving Colombia. Joseph Andrey Londono Rodriguez attended the California School for the Deaf in Fremont. During a check-in appointment, ICE detained and deported the boy's mother, Lesly Rodriguez Gutierrez, and her two sons, reportedly not allowing a family member to retrieve the boy's hearing aids.
