If a petition is filed with the Supreme Court to halt the impeachment trial, the court may issue a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to temporarily suspend the process, but this is rare and requires strong grounds. In short, the Supreme Court can review matters related to the impeachment trial, but it can't directly stop the trial itself. The decision on impeachment lies with the Senate.
