Here is my take on a classic Chinese style of early spring designing. It wasn’t until I got talking to a couple of botanists in China that I realised how important the bamboo plant has been to their culture.
Things to gather:
- I found my container in a shop just as we were leaving Beijing & had to have it for this design I had in mind.
- Several lengths of wisteria, just because I love the colour and watching them bloom in every place we visited. Bright and delightful and I say, we all need colour in our lives.
- Mossy branches.
- A couple of pieces of lamb’s ear or similar. I’m using it to bring the greyish tones of the container, back into the florals.
- A couple of branches of flowering camelia.
- A couple of round moss balls or a handful of gather moss. This is to give the design a rested spot within the design.
