We Built a Tiny House That Feels HUGE + Purchased Land

Rachel and John built this DIY tiny house as an affordable alternative to buying a traditional home, completing the entire project in just a few months and living in it for seven years! Designed around the things they each cared about most — Rachel’s dream of a full-size kitchen and John’s insistence on a full-size bathtub — the home also features heated floors, abundant storage, and 18 windows that flood the space with natural light. What started as a way to save money eventually helped them purchase land of their own, and today the tiny house continues its story as a rental for traveling professionals and others in need of flexible housing.
