60 MINUTES PURE AVIATION - EAST EU Planes only - AN74, TU154, IL76, Il62 ... (4K)

60 Minutes pure aviation, today with east eu planes only. The first aircraft is an Antonov AN74 which was built to land on unpaved runway, specificly in africa. The reason why they mounted the engines above the wings was to avoid gravel and sand to reach the engines while landing on a gravel runway. I filmed this Antonov An74 about 10 years ago while landing at Düsseldorf Airport. Back then the operator was Shar Ink. The second aircraft in this video is the legenday Tupolev TU154. About five years ago this great aircraft visited Cologne and of course I showed up at the airport to film it. Note that the pilots opened the reversers five seconds before landing which is highligh unusual in aviation but quite typical for Tu154 and Il62 pilots.
