Richard Rawlings finally took the wheel of the most controversial Ferrari Testarossa on the planet — the 1,200-horsepower, six-wheeled, Rosso Corsa monster that has the entire car world arguing. We were there for the first drive. Then we hopped a flight to Miami to link up with Maximillion Cooper of Gumball 3000 and Ed Bolian of VINwiki to gear up for the 27th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally — Miami to Mexico City, the "Road to the World Cup." 🏁 ABOUT THE 6x6 FERRARI TESTAROSSA Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage took a 1980s icon — the flat-12 Ferrari Testarossa, the poster car of an entire generation — stretched the chassis, added a third axle, and dropped a 1,200-hp Corvette Z06 V8 between the rear wheels. The build had a famously turbulent path through 2024 and 2025 (handshake deals, broken partnerships, missed SEMA deadlines, the works), but it's finally finished in classic Rosso Corsa with custom fixed headlights. Ferrari has historically been protective of its brand and has gone after unauthorized modifications before — most famously with Deadmau5's "Purrari" wrap a decade ago. Whether Maranello has anything to say about this one is the question every comment section is asking.
