These Skeletons Hid a Secret

These two skeletons hid a secret for years that no one expected. They were discovered in the 1970s at an archaeological site in Hasanlu, present-day Iran. Researchers believed they were lovers who died holding onto each other as the city was attacked nearly 3,000 years ago, which is why they became known as the Hasanlu Lovers. But later analysis revealed that both skeletons were actually male.
