We Need to Talk About This

There’s a massive, uncredited driving force behind the modern dog training and animal behavior movement. To truly honor this community, we need to confront the systemic issues that Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ professionals and guardians actually face. Things like addressing biases in client interactions, overcoming the lack of genuinely safe and inclusive spaces in training facilities and dog sports, fixing heteronormative assumptions on intake forms, and tackling the workplace inequities that still exist in our industry are actionable steps that we as professionals can take every day.
