I've done several videos of logs being split easily - but they aren't all like that of course, so I thought I'd do a video of one that was a bit more difficult and explain how I approach it. This is still sweet chestnut, so nothing like as hard to split as some timbers, but it illustrates the principle well enough. I'm using a #splitting #axe (or #maul), and the #wedges are just splinters from previous logs that I'd split. I also use a #billhook, but that's optional
