Fire breaks out in apartment building near Saint Louis University

A fire broke out on the first floor of a seven-story apartment building in the 3800 block of Lindell on Thursday afternoon. St. Louis firefighters responded to the heavy flames near St. Louis University around 4:45 p.m. and worked to contain the blaze before it could spread through the residential high-rise.
