Istanbul Istiklal Street in June… but it felt like winter. Jackets everywhere, crowded streets, and unexpected cold weather in the heart of summer. We started this walking tour from the small shops and passages near İstanbul and moved into the iconic Çiçek Pasajı, one of the most historic spots in the area. Even though it was June, the weather dropped to around 20–21°C, and almost everyone was wearing jackets, which made the atmosphere feel completely unusual for a summer day. Then we walked through the legendary İstiklal Caddesi, one of the busiest pedestrian streets in the city. The street was full of life—food shops, doner places like Piyalepaşa-style street vendors, local restaurants, and famous spots like Hafız Mustafa offering Turkish delights and baklava with warm hospitality. The red nostalgic tram added a classic Istanbul vibe while passing through the crowds. Finally, we continued toward Taksim Square, capturing street food, busy nightlife energy, and the real urban atmosphere of Istanbul.
