Description
This week we’re back on the Wespe transmission, and Steve walks us through what’s inside the gearbox so far.
We start by looking at the excellent condition of the metallic components in the clutch housing, an encouraging sign of how well this vehicle was treated during its working life.
From there, Steve begins disassembling what we think might be the T-drive section, before we finally pull out the main and counter shafts from the gearbox and inspect the bearings.
A calm, methodical workshop episode focused on condition, detail and careful disassembly — with more to come as the rebuild continues.
Filmed at the Australian Armour & Artillery Museum.
