The oldest dessert in the world?!

The Day of Ashura is just around the corner. It’s the one time of year where the allegedly oldest dessert in the world is traditionally made and handed out to friends, family and neighbours. According to legend, the first Aşure was made with the leftover grains, fruits and nuts on Noah’s Ark after it came to rest on Mount Ararat (now eastern Anatolia).
