A village officer named Vishnu from Elamgulam in Ponkunnam, Kottayam (Kerala) was arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting ₹2,000 as a bribe for processing a property mutation (Pokkuvaravu) request. According to the complaint, he first took ₹1,000 and then asked for an additional ₹2,000 to complete the mutation work.
