WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THAT? Mysterious Primer Issue!

Alright, Scott over at @coldwarmotors suggested trying out this epoxy base primer... and he's a body guy so I'm going to trust him and go for it. It'll be nice to see this El Camino all in one color but of course, I'm not paint and body guy so we can only assuming something is going to go wrong- and it does but that's hot rodding kids. So far it's been six days of working on this hunk of metal and I'd say the progress has really changed the look and feel of this hot rod already!
