After nearly six months of testing, the Scope Artech 4.A wheels might be some of the most interesting — and controversial — high-end carbon wheels I’ve ridden. At £3500, they need to justify a seriously premium price tag, but with ultra-low weight, class-leading aero claims, distinctive “Aeroscale” rim technology inspired by fish scales, and what appears to be the world’s first 3D-printed hub design, they certainly stand out. I’ve ridden them across UK roads and a week-long training camp in Spain on bikes including the FiftyOne Sika, Colnago C68 and Rose Reveal, and in this video I take a closer look at whether all this tech actually translates into real-world performance.
