Homeless Standard Poodle survived thanks to a cat feeder. 🐶💝🐱

Throughout all these years of rescue, I have never encountered a homeless Standard Poodle. The video begins with footage filmed by Elizabeth Barajas who was feeding feral cats, and spotted Empress eating their food. I spent a whole day searching for her in that whole industrial area, but couldn't find her. The next day, I returned with Idan Riek and Katie McKittrick, and we expanded our search to nearby neighborhoods where she had been previously seen. Sure enough, I spotted her sleeping on someone's property, pulled over (blocked a driveway), and rushed to get her. I was surprised that I missed my attempt, but after reviewing the footage later, I realized that I hadn't really missed; she managed to get out of the snare. Luckily, in the short few moments that she looked into my eyes, she knew she shouldn't run away from me - it is quite remarkable after that scary moment. Today, we are celebrating 17 years of Hope For Paws! This year has been rough with the destruction of our office, but we are rebuilding, and we should be able to utilize at least a portion of it soon.
