Raised by the Prophet, he was the first male to embrace Islam and is revered for his bravery, wisdom, and eloquent, scholarly nature. Key details regarding Hazrat Ali: Family: Son of Abu Talib, he was born in the Kaaba in Mecca. He married Prophet Muhammad's daughter, Hazrat Fatima, and was the father of Hassan and Hussain. Military & Valor: Known as Asad Allah ("Lion of God"), he served as a key warrior and standard-bearer in most battles of the Prophet’s time, often using his famous sword, Zulfiqar. Caliphate & Legacy: He became the fourth caliph during a period of civil strife (First Fitna). His reign was marked by a commitment to justice, and he was assassinated in 661 CE by a Kharijite in Kufa, Iraq. Spirituality & Knowledge: He is revered as Babul-Ilm (Gate to Knowledge) and held high spiritual status in both Sunni and Shia traditions. He is universally respected in Islam, with Shia Muslims considering him the rightful immediate successor to Prophet Muhammad and Sunnis recognizing him as the last of the "Rightly Guided" caliphs. The poison had done its work, and on the morning of the 21st of Ramadan of 40 A.H., Ali ibn Abi Talib left this world to go into the presence of his Creator whom he had loved and served all his life.
