Rajpal Yadav, Who Claimed ₹1,200 Crore Worth Of Work, Sentenced To 3 Months In Jail

Actor Rajpal Yadav has suffered a major legal setback after the Delhi High Court upheld his conviction in a long-running Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case. The court sentenced the actor to three months' imprisonment in each of the seven cases, with all sentences to run concurrently, while also directing him and his wife Radha Yadav to pay compensation to the complainant. The case dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav borrowed Rs 5 crore from Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd. to finance his film Ata Pata Laapata. Following the film's failure and years of litigation, the High Court refused to grant him probation, citing repeated violations of court undertakings.
