Description

The 2025 KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique by HVM Racing was definitely the most spectacular event I've attended this year. Now in its 7th edition, it aims to celebrate the history of single-seaters with races, parades and free practice sessions with the men and the machines that marked an era. In 2025 the main theme was the 20th anniversary of the Renault F1 Constructors World Championship and for this special occasion, the legendary 2005 Renault R25 F1 car (chassis R25-07, ex-Fernando Alonso) returned to the track with ex-Renault F1 test driver, Franck Montagny, behind the wheel. Definitely it's been my highlight of the event, also knowing that it would have run pretty much like in 2005, without being too limited on engine revs, reminding me of those laps done by Fernando Alonso during the 2020 Abu Dhabi GP weekend. The R25 was the Formula 1 car developed by Renault for the 2005 season. It was powered by the Renault RS25 engine, a 3.0-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that was able to produce over 900 hp at 19,000 rpm. It was also one of the last F1 cars to use a 6-speed gearbox rather than the 7-speed gearbox, before the switch to the mandatory 7-speed gearbox in the following season. The R25 weighed only 605 kg, including the driver and ballast. It won both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships. 0:00 Prologue 0:18 Paddock & Warm Up 3:08 Pit Exit 3:46 In Action On Track 7:03 Playing 'La Marseillaise' #RenaultF1 #RenaultR25 #GrandPrixDeFranceHistorique I have to thank my friends and youtubers @Italiansupercarvideo & @sportcrash71 for the great collaboration done.
