saw a job like this a while back and it still messes with my brain. At first glance I thought the whole thing was poured as one solid unit. Then they tipped the cylinder over and exposed the separate section underneath. No joke, the gritty scrape of concrete against concrete is what caught my attention. Most people drive past drainage work and never think twice about what's under the ground, but there's a ton of smart design packed into pieces like this. The way everything locks together while still being serviceable is pretty slick.
