Tata Sierra EV Launched at ₹18.79 Lakh : Is It Worth It

The Tata Sierra EV has officially launched in India, starting at ₹18.79 lakh for the base "Pure" variant and going up to ₹25.99 lakh for the top-spec AWD "Empowered A" trim giving buyers a massive ~7 lakh price spread to choose from depending on their budget and feature needs. Battery & Range The Sierra EV comes with two battery options a 63kWh pack and a larger 75kWh pack. The 75kWh RWD variant delivers a claimed range of 665km, the AWD version offers 624km, while the base 63kWh variant is rated at 535km. Fast charging is handled via a 120kW DC charger, adding 263km of range in just 15 minutes. Performance The AWD variant features a dual-motor setup a rear motor producing 315Nm paired with a front motor adding an extra 140hp. Combined output comes in at 504Nm of torque, and with Boost Mode engaged, the Sierra EV AWD can hit 0-100kmph in just 5.8 seconds. Features & Cabin Inside, the Sierra EV gets a triple-screen setup — a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen. It's backed by a 12-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos support (a segment-first for Apple CarPlay), a panoramic sunroof, powered ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, and 6 airbags as standard. Off-Road Capability The AWD version adds 6 terrain modes and a 540-degree camera setup, making it a genuinely capable option for those who want off-road readiness along with EV efficiency.
