The New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control is offered in 4 colours, with 2 of them being brand new shades. The Kevlar Brown and Neon Shooting Star colours have been carried over from the base variant, whereas, the Matt Shadow Grey and Matt Slate Red are new shades. Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control variant is the same 163.2cc, air and oil-cooled engine which produces 16.9PS and 14.6Nm. The bike gets a KYB inverted fork and a monoshock suspension, and rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Braking is handled by a 276mm front and 220mm disc brake setup, with dual-channel ABS.
The Xtreme 125R is equipped with a LED projector headlight, LED taillight and indicators, along with a hazard light function as standard. It gets a negatively lit LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts. It also has a gear position indicator. Other notable features include i3S tech for improved fuel efficiency, and optional single-channel ABS.
The 125cc bike gets a lightweight diamond frame. It comes with the fattest rear tyre in the air-cooled-125cc bike space, along with a 37mm telescopic fork (another first) and a 7-step preload adjustable monoshock developed by Showa. The Xtreme 125R also gets a 276mm front disc brake, which is the largest among its air-cooled 125cc rivals. It has Now Dual ABS Variant, Rear Disc and Meter Console Similar to Glamour X with Ride by Wire and Cruise Control.
Hero Xtreme 250R is a street bike available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The Hero Xtreme 250R is powered by 249.03cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 29.5 bhp and a torque of 25 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Hero Xtreme 250R comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Xtreme 250R bike weighs 167.7 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 11.5 liters.
The Xtreme 250R is Hero’s contender in the quarter-litre street bike segment. The motorcycle mainly competes against the Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
Underpinned by a trellis frame, it rides on 17-inch wheels that are suspended by USD forks and a six-step preload adjustable monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a single petal-type disc at both ends, along with dual-channel ABS and the facility to switch it off for the rear wheel. With an 11.5-litre fuel tank, the bike weighs 167.7kg.
