Generosity - Journey of Lent - March 22

Love like Jesus and live in community. Discussion Questions: 1. Jesus warns about storing up for ourselves in Luke 12. What is something you’re currently trusting for security (money, success, control, plans, etc.)—and how can you tell it might be competing with your trust in God? 2. The sermon says simplicity creates space—but space for what? If you suddenly had more margin in your life (time, energy, finances), what do you think would actually fill it right now—and what does that reveal about your heart? 3. Generosity is described as something that turns a crowd into a family. Have you ever experienced that kind of community personally? What role did generosity (yours or others’) play in it—and what would it look like to move one step closer to that here? 4. Covenant community means “I’m here because we belong to each other.” That’s a strong statement in a consumer culture and its impact in our church experience.
