Marcos stepping up aid for quake-hit communities

President Bongbong Marcos assured earthquake survivors in General Santos City that the government is mobilizing resources to address their immediate needs in the aftermath of the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake. Speaking during his visit to General Santos City National High School, Marcos said the national government has allocated P100 million in assistance to the city government. Families of those killed in the disaster will also receive P50,000 each in initial financial aid. The government is also providing psychosocial support to students, while teachers whose homes were damaged by the earthquake will receive assistance from the National Housing Authority.
