KNOT TEST: Palomar VS Toit

Most anglers tie the same knot every time without ever knowing how strong it really is. In this video, we put the Palomar Knot head-to-head against the Toit Knot using a machine-based knot tester to see which one actually holds up under pressure. Each knot was tested multiple times using both monofilament and fluorocarbon, tied wet and dry, to replicate real-world fishing conditions. We also tested whether adding saliva before cinching the knot helps or hurts strength, and the results weren’t consistent across materials.
